Having performed on more than 170 records, Ralph Stanley is a revered mountain music legend. Some people consider him to be the founding father
of modern bluegrass. He brings his unique claw hammer style of banjo playing and his ever-popular fellow musicians The Clinch Mountain Boys. The group continues to be popular at bluegrass festivals and has grown to be one of the most respected outfits in bluegrass. Stanley has performed on the “O
Brother, Where Art Thou?” soundtrack. Today, the Clinch Mountain Boys include Ralph’s son, Ralph Stanley II, and his oldest grandson, Nathan Stanley, age 16.
