Raymond L. Kirby is an award winning chef and a distinguished graduate of
Johnson & Wales University. During a career spanning more than thirty years
in the food service industry, Chef Ray has excelled in every aspect of food
preparation and presentation. Beginning as a basic cook with the United States
Marine Corps in 1977, Chef Ray has masterfully performed the duties of Chief Cook,
Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, Catering Manager, Garde Manger Chef and Executive Chef.
Locally he is known for his years as chef at the popular Liazzo’s in Hickory.
He has also held top chef positions at the Charlotte Hilton chain, Ramada Inns
of Illinois, the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, and the renowned Brown Hotel in
Louisville, Kentucky.
He is a recognized expert in the areas of cost management and staff instruction. He is currently the Executive Chef for the JEBCC Catering Group and an instructor for the Culinary Technology program at Caldwell County Community College & Technical Institute. |
